ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Robyn Blocher wrote this book in 1978 at 9 years old for Mrs. Judy Jones’ 4th grade class at Gainesville Elementary School in Haymarket, VA. The original drawings were sketched by her late mother and colored by Robyn. Her mother typed up the story so that Robyn could put the final book together with tape, crayons, and love.

The character David is based on the state bird of Virginia, the cardinal, while Mike was based on the author’s childhood pony, Carbon Copy.

After years of sitting in a file folder, Robyn decided it was time to share this book with the world. 

The Author has worked in the Information Technology Sales field for the last 25 years and currently lives in Colorado with her Australian Shepherds – Leo and Spencer.
